My New Little Friend

I would like to introduce my new little friend, he is a sugar glider, he is such a sweet little boy. He likes to ride around in your pocket, and he is just getting where he is trusting us. My Husband keeps him in his shirt pocket, he won't be able to keep him in there when he gets bigger he will need a bigger pocket. LOL He will only get to be around 5 ounces so that isn't really that big, right now he is tiny.

here he is helping me take photos of my beads, that I am going to put on Etsy

I love this bead set I made and hate to sell it, but I guess I can always make something like it.

My husband was called back for an interview on Wednesday and they really acted like they were going to hire him, The guy said he would call him on Thursday, but he never did. I just wonder if it fell through or not. Maybe it wasn't meant to be, he needs to find a good place to work that will treat him fairly, he just hasn't been treated fair in the past and we thought this would be a good place. Well maybe he is concidering others, or maybe he will still call. Please keep us in your thoughts that he will get a job soon,
Sandra

Hi,

I have wanted to join the One World One Heart, since it started. I am not the greatest blogger in the world I sort of forget to blog often so my blog isn't as active as it should be. This is a wonderful event, and I am going to try to jump in and get my feet wet this time.

I sew for a local furniture company, I also make lampwork beads as a hobby in my spare time.

We have been working on our house the past couple months to do some improvements. This summer we had my nephew come to live with us, for a while until he goes into the Army. He is excited about getting out on his on and being his own man. I hope he does well and is able to take what they teach him and make a life for himself.

For this event, I am going to put a set of lampwork beads that are handmade by me for the door prize, I will draw a number from a bowl I really don't have a hat to draw from. LOL My drawing will end on Feb 17th and I will email the winner and post who won on my blog. I will anounce a winner on Feb 17 in the evening after I get home from work, some time around 6 pm eastern time.

I hope to get to see all the Wonderful Blogs this year, and hope to have visits from people all over the world to my blog.

Christmas snow

Here is a photo of our tree after our Cat KeeKee re decorated it. You can see how tired he is from all his hard work, he had to lay down and rest for a while.

We had our first Christmas snow in years this Christmas day 2010 and the kids enjoyed it.
It's been a while, I have been so busy in the last couple months. My nephew came to live with us until he leaves for the Army. So we have been spending time with him. We tiled the kitchen and bathroom floor because what was on the floor was 25 years old and awful. Let me say I don't think I ever want to tile again, I am not as young as I used to be. Crawling on the floor is not for me. LOL

My husband is looking for a Job, and isn't having any luck. I hope things get better for everyone. There just doesn't seem to be any jobs out there. He is wonderful at what he does and a very loyal employee, I just hope a job will open up and someone will give him the oppertunity to prove it. He found out where he can go to get ceritified but he can't until they do the test in May this year and that will help him when jobs do open up. I just pray he finds a job before then.

We had to mulch the flower beds again this fall because we thought we would be alright without mulch fabric. I lost a few shurbs, the soil is mainly clay and things don't do too good. A friend of mine is going to let us have some manure for the garden, it didn't do good at all this year, the only thing that did well was the squash and green beans. We have to trim back our fruit trees and I hope that will help the cherry tree produce more. One of the apple trees broke some limbs and we have to trim it back too.

I make lampwork as a hobby in my spare time, I would love to learn how to get the silver glass to work better for me. Maybe one of these days.

Take care,
