New Home and Snow
We are finally in our new home, hopefully we will get it where we want it soon. Money has been so tight, I hope that work picks up soon. I am so tired of moving that I never want to move again. I didn't know we had that much stuff, I sat there yesterday and went through boxes I am going to get rid of things we just don't need, or can just live without. The bad thing is we did that as we boxed it up. Well it looks like we didn't throw one thing away. LOL The basement only has a path there. LOL
We got our first snow Friday, normally we don't get much snow or it doesn't stick if we do. I wonder what this year will bring. I heard someone say that it was going to be colder than normal for the next 6 weeks. Hummm, when I was young and in school there was snow every week, is it going to come back, I doubt it with the global warming, but you never know.

Haven't blogged in a while
Wow, I didn't realize it had been this long, I haven't felt well so I have let a few things slide. I have in the past couple months burnt my fingers badly on my torch it took about 4 weeks to heal enough to use them one was worse than the other. I haven't gotten to torch lately since I was having problems with dizziness and weak feelings, with numbness. I thought I may have gotten heavy metal poisoning from the glass I was working on my torch. Bad thing is I was going to the doctor almost 2 times a week and everything she tested turned out to be fine. I started taking vitamins and found out by accident that I have a vitamin deficiency, I have tried to not say anything to my family. My sister was getting married and I didn't want to take away from her day. I felt so bad that day I was so weak that I didn't feel like going to the wedding but I wanted to be there for her. While at the wedding I had to go down stairs to go to the restroom I didn't think my weak legs would bring me back up the stairs, I did make it back up. I had been feeling so much better but the week before her wedding I forgot to take the vitamin, I really didn't know I really needed it, the day before her wedding is when I found out what was wrong with me. Up until then I thought it was heavy metal poisoning. About a month before I had went to the health food store to get some heavy metal detox, and while there I picked up some vitamins that my cousin Ronald had told me that I should be taking since I was getting a little older. I had took the heavy metal detox for around a week and started the vitamins the same time. I thought well I have healed myself of the heavy metal because all the symptoms had went away. So for 3 more weeks I was good about taking the vitamins and then, it was a hectic week at work the week before the 4th and I had been trying to get some stuff up on etsy, plus my other sister was in for the week and I forgot to take the vitamins, so after 5 days of not taking them. I woke up to symptoms on that Friday morning, I thought oh no, I know what is wrong with me. So I quickly took the B12, vit D, Calcium and the multi-vitamin that I had been taking. It took me until around Tuesday the next week to begin to feel good again. I have to go back to the doctor to tell her what I figured out, bad thing is I had asked her if it could be that and she said she didn't think so. I dread seeing her, I made her mad when I insisted on a heavy metal test. Which is very expensive, I don't suggest getting one unless you know for sure you have been exposed to heavy metal. I didn't get to enjoy visiting with my sister or really enjoy my sisters wedding I get so dizzy I can't concentrate on anything. I have been very good about taking the B12 since then if I don't do anything else I will take the B12 because I never want to feel that way again. I think it has something to do with my stomach meds I am taking I say somewhere on the web that if your on stomach medicine for acid reflux that it could cause your stomach to not absorb B12. If you take stomach medicine that could be what is wrong if you start feeling bad. My lips would stay chapped all the time everyday of the year, I never knew why. I was so fatigued and exhausted at doing nothing, I didn't feel like going or doing anything for a while hubby had to cook supper, I had to make myself go to work, and my work suffered I couldn't put out as much as I used to, just didn't have the strength to do it. I couldn't go to town without feeling dizzy like I was going to pass out. At night I was just so exhausted I felt like I almost passed out at night instead of going to sleep. I couldn't walk far without being out of breath and so dizzy and weak that I needed to sit down. I had to make myself do anything I would sit there and think I just don't feel like doing it, even if in my mind I wanted to do so many things, my body wouldn't cooperate. My head hurt all the time, I was in a fog all the time, it was like being drunk without drinking my left arm would go numb and my hand would cramp up. it was like a wave that came over me, then my legs would go numb to the point that I couldn't feel anything from the small of my back down passed my knees, One leg would feel cold as ice but when you touched it with you hand you could feel it was warm, you just couldn't feel your that you had your hand on your leg. I have been checked for everything and it is nice to know that there is nothing wrong with anything she tested for. I just have to find a way to quit taking the stomach meds, I need to give up soft drinks, "coke cola" They tear my stomach up. I was so bad which I am not better yet but getting that way, that I didn't get my garden planted early enough that it would grow, and it isn't doing anything at all. Hubby had to plant it and take care of it but I guess he doesn't have a green thumb. Oh well there is next year, hopefully I will be completely better by then.

Earth Hour and stomach bug
I hope everyone took part in Earth Hour Saturday night. My son and I turned off all the lights and did our part. Hopefully Everyone else did too, this will bring attention to global warming and climante change and hopefully people that are able to make changes will notice and be more active in bringing about change and a greener way of living. Hopefully, our future generations won't have to pay for the way the world has been mistreated and change can come soon to reverse climante change.
My son and I picked up some awful stomach bug this weekend and have felt awful, Hope to feel a lot better tomorrow, my son has about slept all day today, in between bathroom runs and I haven't felt like doing anything either, except those needed bathroom visits. Hubby says he doesn't feel to good today bet he will have it tonight or tomorrow. I guess everyone can tell we are a close family, we share everything even viruses. LOL
take care,
Sandra

Help the planet participate in Earth Hour this year March 28th 2009 at 8:30
Hi Everyone, I am going to participate in Earth hour again this year, I hope you all will observe it too. All we have to do is turn off everything for an hour on March 28th at 8:30 pm. There are a lot of other things we can do to save the planet for our children and grand children, nieces and nephews and future generations. At the very least for one hour on March 28 at 8:30pm we could all read a book or do something with our family that doesn't require using electricity. http://www.earthhourus.org/main.php
Hope you all will take part in this wonderful idea,
Sandra H

Snow day in the South
March 1 - March 2, 2009
Snow day in the south, It really couldn't make up its mind if it was going to rain, sleet or snow all morning and afternoon on Sunday, It laid about a inch and then melted it with rain during the daylight hours. About 5pm it really started, the weather man said there was thunder snow in this weather system. It was still snowing when we finally went to bed at midnight we had about 4 inches then. I don't know how much we really ended up with since is was a wet snow.

My sons kitten died
We couldn't find blacky last night and this morning my son looked for her, he found her at the edge of the road. She was a sweet little kitten always following you around and she had attached herself to my son. No other animal has done this with him, he was really upset this morning. He told me yesterday "mom she follows me everywhere I go and she rubs all over me, I told him it was because she loved him and she wanted him to pet her. This couple that lives below us had just told him the other day " that little cat loves you", I have cried off and on all day. He told me this evening that "mom she had a good live she really loved me" I said yes she did. At least we have the other cats 2 brothers and 1 sister to her, they are loving but not like her. She will be dearly missed I am going to look to see if I have a photo of her, I know I did but don't know if I have one of her by herself she was a total black cat so if I find on I will post it here.

Shopping for a Home
Today we looked at a few homes well about 7 of them, 1 was just too much work for the price, 2 were just not in the area that we want. There is one about 1/4 of a mile from my Grandmothers house that was really nice, my husband feel in love with it and he is going to call about it on his day off. Two others in the county we want to live in one is close to everything and the other is at a school that is good, we like both of them.
Just got off the phone with a realtor friend of mine and she is sending me listings for my husband and me to look at. She said that they could even work with financing.
today was a good day,

These are a few beads that I have made, and that Kitty there is my big boy Stripes, he is only 9 months old and has the bigest paws that I have ever seen. When I am working on my torch he trys to sit behind me on my chair in between my back and the back of the chair. LOL and anyone who has cats would know that they like to knead where ever their going to lay down so usually I get a back rub from him while I am torching. Thank goodness he doesn't use his claws now if I could teach him to rub my shoulders, he would be perfect. LOL

I have been working on Lampwork beads this week. I have been checking out all the blogs on the One World one Heart blog this has been really neat to see other peoples blog. I know that mine is a work in progress but I will figure it out. Work has been slow, and I miss working as much as we were, I hope that everything starts getting better for everyone. I work for a wonderful place and it is more like family than work, so I hate for it to get slow there.
I sure wish I could thank my Grandmother and Mother for teaching me how to can food and how to live on a tight buget, and my Grandfather for teaching me how to garden. I had an okay garden last year, but this year I am planning on a better garden, my dear husband has hauled in a load of manure and tilled it in, one of our friends gave us a truckload and said to come back and get more. Last year the deer ate all of my greenbeans, cucumbers, watermelon, and cantaloupe before they got really started good. I have to figure out how to keep them out of it this year.
I just listed 24 listings of lampwork beads marked down 30% off on ebay today, so I will see how they do saturday. If everyone doesn't know it ebay is offering a 50% off on their 1 and 3 day listings until the end of jan.
well got to go,
everyone take care,
Sandra
